Unit 1
Hi guys, looks like I will be in this Jury Duty thing for a few days so a little rearrangement of the order that we will be doing things. We are going to begin with a little Photoshop.
I wish I could be there to demonstrate, but I hope my videos will be the next best thing. I don't have the same version of Photoshop on my computer so it will look slightly different in the videos I post. If you get confused, ask the person next to you if they know.
I will post the assignments, videos and any resources you will need here. Your supply teacher will know where to direct you but if you are reading this you are already doing it right.
I will miss you, hope to be out of here soon!!!

I'm going to call this assignment, Veggie Face.
Learning Goal: Students will learn how to use the different selection tools in Photoshop
Success Criteria: Students will create a face from photos of vegetables by using the many selection tools available in Photoshop.
This assignment is all about you learning how to select things as specifically as you can and move them into a new file to combine them with other images. It's all about using the right tool to get what you want, so watch the videos (or listen to the lesson) to learn how each tool works so you can choose the right option for your work.
Read the assignment attached below and use the Photoshop file to get your sheet of veggies to use for your face. You DO NOT need to use all of the vegetables. Get really creative!

Lesson 3 - blending
You should now have almost all the Photoshop skills you need to start making some very cool stuff. One more step and the rest is going to be poking around effects and trying things out. There are several tools to help blend photos together and make them look like they are supposed to be together. Some of these tools are:
Burn/Dodge
Clone Stamp
Blur
Smudge
Eraser
You will also want to keep using the tools you used in the last two lessons, this just builds on those skills. the next project is kind of fun. you will mix different celebrity faces of photos found on the Internet. Don't feel restricted by the content, if you want to use another subject go right ahead. I am mostly just looking for skills..
